Job summary
A welder will be responsible for reading blueprints interpreting technical drawings to determine material requirements and fabrication methods cutting and shaping metal using tools like plasma cutters saws and presses to prepare metal pieces for welding joining metal parts using various welding techniques including MIG TIG and arc welding grinding and finishing welds smoothing and preparing welds for a finished look ensuring quality and safety inspecting welds checking for proper penetration fusion and overall quality fabricating metal structures assembling constructing metal parts products according to specifications maintaining a safe work environment following safety procedures ensuring the cleanliness proper functioning of equipment collaborating with teams working engineers designers professionals planning executing projects maintaining tools equipment ensuring tools machinery are in good working order.
