    BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE

    Ugenius is a multinational corporation (MNC) with it headquarters in Australia and offices in Malaysia. Ugenius is an innovative education-focused company with strength in pedagogy, curriculum design, and teaching and learning using blended forms of delivery. The company specializes in partnering with organizations seeking to develop their Early Childhood Education and Care workforce, with particular emphasis on the Montessori Method of education. Ugenius offers remote learning opportunities to students and sees this form of education the way of the future. To this end, the position requires a highly skilled and innovative Montessori Teacher Trainer with experiences and/or passion for developing digital learning experiences and resources to support the education of early childhood educators in distant locations.

    This role has the Montessori Teacher Trainer in Montessori Early Childhood Education responsible for designing and building eLearning experiences and resources using innovative digital learning technologies and is based in Malaysia.

    APPOINTMENT OF MONTESSORI TEACHER TRAINER IN MONTESSORI EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

    A Montessori Teacher Trainer in Montessori Early Childhood Education is appointed by the Country Head of Malaysia for Ugenius. On a day-to-day basis in Malaysia, the appointee reports to and is supervised by the Country Head of Malaysia. For the purposes of carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position, the Montessori Teacher Trainer in Montessori Early Childhood Education is directly responsible to the Head of Pedagogy and Curriculum (their nominee).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop Montessori Method informed learning experiences and resources for early childhood educators teaching in the Cycle 1, Toddler, and Infant (Nido) classroom programs.
    • Design and develop engaging and interactive learning experiences and materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials and courses, assessments, and multimedia elements to a professional standard.
    • Review and produce innovative learning content to support the quality uplift of Ugenius micro-credentials, certificates, diplomas, and specialized in-house programs using contemporary education practices.
    • Assist in modifying and continuously improving existing learning resources to ensure accuracy, relevance, and quality.
    • Maintain and ensure all learning experiences and resources are compatible with Ugenius's Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Ensure all education resources and modes of communication apply a proficient standard of the English Language.
    • Work collaboratively with the education team to ensure learning experiences and resources for use in Montessori Method informed courses comply with Ugenius Montessori Method of education.
    • Mentor the education team in resource development for eLearning.
    • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
    • Work collaboratively with the education team to ensure courses and materials meet relevant Australian regulations, Registered Training Organisation, Approved Learning Frameworks, and National Quality Standards assessment requirements.
    • Stay updated on the latest advancements in interactive educational technology and identify opportunities for their integration into the learning environment.
    • Participate in the Annual Performance Evaluation and Professional Development of self.
    • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Head of Pedagogy and Curriculum (or nominee) or Country Head Malaysia.

    SKILLS

    • Able to apply a proficient standard of English Language to all written and verbal modes of communication.
    • High computer literacy
    • Applies an evidence-based approach to the design, development, and delivery of education.
    • Can develop a curriculum, learning experiences, materials and resources.
    • Able to think dynamically and come up with creative solutions.
    • Be competent in the use and application of a range of digital technologies and creative media to build teaching and learning resources for the Ugenius Learning Management System (LMS).
    • Work collaboratively with the education team to apply the principles of the Montessori Method of education to courses and learning resources.
    • Can use the Learning Management System (LMS) software called 'Moodle'.

    IN RELATION TO COLLEAGUES

    • Meet regularly, take direction, and work collaboratively with the Head of Pedagogy and Curriculum on all matters related to Ugenius education.
    • Meet regularly, take direction, and work collaboratively with the Country Head of Malaysia on all day-to-day matters related to working with the Malaysian office team.
    • Collaborate and work closely with the Education Team and key stakeholders in partner organizations such as Montessori Beginnings.
    • Be egalitarian in the conduct of self with others that show courtesy, respect, humility, and professionalism.
