    About the Department

    Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

    We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

    Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Business segments covered: PFS (non-individual) & Business Banking* / Wholesale Banking* segments covering conventional and Islamic cases.
  • Handling and processing documentation for various types of conventional loan / Islamic financing facilities.
  • Ensuring completion of documentation and full compliance of conditions precedent / pre-disbursement terms and conditions prior to signing off disbursement for / making available loan / financing facilities.
  • Performing accurate, complete and timely data input / maintenance into the relevant systems.
  • Attending to queries from business partners and relevant stakeholders on documentation related issues.
  • Carrying out any other tasks assigned by superior from time to time e.g. data cleansing exercises, special projects, UATs, regression testings, etc.
  • Span of Control of the job (from the financial and non-financial aspect ie number of direct reports & indirect report)
  • Contacts will be other jobs that the job holder communicates with and can be internal – e.g. UOB colleagues, or external – outside UOB)

    Job Requirements

  • A recognised Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or any other equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 – 4 years' relevant experience in banking environment, especially in wholesale conventional loan / Islamic financing documentation
  • Preferably with experience in handling documentation for wholesale conventional loan & Islamic financing
