    About the Department

    Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

    We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

    Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Drive the data quality implementation
  • Reports to Head of Data Governance, Malaysia and work with Head of Enterprise Data Governance in HQ to maintain and create all relevant Data Governance scorecard to regulator
  • Strong collaboration with business, technical and data management teams and improve efficiency, accountability and governance of underlying business and technical processes over the critical data lifecycle, with a focus to improve enterprise DQ health
  • Lead the working group to define the CDEs of the reporting and finalise the business rules.
  • Data discovery and analysis. Development of DQ technical rules.
  • Build the data health dashboard, constantly monitor the data health and update the statuses to management.
  • Maintain partnerships with the stakeholders and actively monitoring DQ scorecard and holding regular meetings to improve the quality of the data and take corrective action.
  • Adopt the Data Quality Issues Management to work with respective stewards /stakeholders to identify the root cause of data issues, and to develop the remediation plans.
  • Provide oversight and ensure adherence to the Bank's data architecture, guidelines, principles and standards. Guidance to the Bank staff on DG policies and procedures
  • Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics or similar.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of working experiences with data quality management, data analysis, and emerging data trends and issues. Preferably involved in the implementation of data governance and data quality activities and processes in Banking
  • Must have sound understanding for all Big Data components and concepts, preferably in Teradata and Haadop.
  • Possess data quality skills such as data discovery, data profiling, data lineage analysis, root cause analysis, and data issue remediation.
  • Possess intermediate or advance data management skillset such as SQL, PBI, Informatica DQ tool & Qliksense.
  • Able to understand business requirements of data.
  • Motivated to collaborate and communicate well with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Able to multitask across multiple initiatives and perform under pressure in meeting tight deadlines
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent team player who embraces teamwork, possess excellent communication & written skills and enjoys working closely with colleagues of any levels
