  • Maintain and operatesthe boilers, as well as ensures good functioning of the fire systems and watersupply for the boiler,
  • Follow the daily routines, in order to ensure theboiler(s) run in good conditions and without interruption
  • Knows the health,safety, environment & housekeeping procedures and rules, operates inaccordance with them, alerts risks, participates to risk analyses, takescorrective actions regarding the own workenvironment and stimulates safe behavior of colleagues and third parties
  • Operates the boiler,the waste water treatment plant and other utilities in an efficient, safe andenvironmental friendly manner
  • Prepares chemicals forthe boiler and other utilities and monitors the respective chemical inventory
  • Constantly monitorsutilities (boiler, fire hydrant, water supply, nitrogen consumption, aircompressors, etc) and components (filter press) related to the boiler
  • In case ofirregularities, searches for the cause, solves the issue in line with standardoperating procedures or escalates towards Supervisor or Management level
  • Performs cleaning workfor all kinds of tanks during shutdown and cleans filter press cloth.
  • Performs loadingactivity of pitch oil to pitch tanker
  • Performs housekeepingin boiler house and waste water treatment plant
  • Keeps his/her know-howand expertise up-to-date, stays informed with evolutions in his/her domain ofexpertise and shares know-how with internal colleagues

    • Job qualifications :

  • Possess SPM equivalent or higher
  • Possess a Certificate of Boilerman Grade 1 issued by DOSH (JKKP)
  • Have at least a minimum of 3-4 years of related working experience
  • Knowledge in Microsoft word, excel will be an asset
  • Experience in using a forklift is an asset
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Pulau Indah, Klang
  • Able to work shift
  • Willing to work during festivals and or call-in to back-up colleagues
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage
  • Responsible and able to work independently
