    JR47088 Financial Accounting Manager (Evergreen)

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise functional financial accounting activities including reviewing journal entries and reporting
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly close processes and day-to-day operations for global entities in accordance with US GAAP while ensuring accurate maintenance of statutory financials
  • Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable international and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
  • Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation, and providing recommendations, as appropriate
  • Identify and highlight any risks/fraud and mitigate with proper controls and solutions
  • Lead and drive process improvement, automation, and standardization and other assigned projects/tasks
  • Proactively engage with partners to resolve challenges and recommend solutions, improvement where necessary
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships
  • Establish plans and objectives for the functional group and at organization level for Global Finance Center of Excellence
  • Key Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local country accounting standards
  • Strong team-player with experience working in a dynamic organization and demonstrated ability to build bridges between stakeholders
  • Strong communication, influencing skills including ability to step up in challenging status quo when necessary
  • Strong analytical skills with deep understanding of business principles and practices

  • Ability to succinctly explain financial matters to non-finance personnel

  • Demonstrate agility and flexibility to maneuver ad hoc tasks, projects and challenges
  • Japanese or other foreign language skill set will be added advantage
  • Education & Experience Required:

  • Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA), Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • > 10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Reporting; high-tech industry
  • > 5 years in leadership role
  • Experience in automation projects, LEAN, 6-Sigma or RPA, preferred
  • Working arrangement
