    As the Level 2 Database Administrator you will provide day to day Level 2 operations support for JM's Global Database infrastructure and supports activities that requires database support through the use of database performance analysis tools, such as SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA).

    Your responsibilities:

  • To provide implementation and technical support; including planning, installation, ongoing management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and decommissioning, following operational policies and processes that are compliant with JM IT's standards.
  • To analyse, troubleshoot and implement approved and standardized resolutions.
  • To monitor environments; respond to service requests, incidents, change requests, and problem management.
  • To troubleshoot incidents and problems as reported by users and maintain a secure systems environment.
  • To adhere to and execute the approved BCP/DR process.
  • To support L3 teams in updating documentations and keep it up to date in line with JM standards and policies.
  • Requirements for the role:

  • Able to work on shift (24x5) and based in KL Sentral Office
  • Significant operational experience in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database in a Level 2 role providing day to day operational support.
  • Working knowledge of planning, installation, on-going management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of IT services and technologies.
  • Proficiency in customer service aspect of technology delivery required.
  • Good understanding of importance of process compliance and standardization.
  • Awareness of ITIL principles.
