    Description

    Main Responsibilities/Tasks

    We are a newly open western restaurant located at Publika, Mont Kiara. The main role of a Waiter/Waitress is to ensure a high-quality dining experience while applying the upselling technique to maximised revenue per table/stations. This process can begin with either a telephone inquiry on the place and menu or before a guest enters the Restaurant. A waiter should also have a pleasant personality, a genuine interest in assisting the guest's dining experience and a good posture or body language for the image of the establishment. Waiter should also be able to work on weekend, PH and during busy meal period.

    In addition to these, other related work such as clearing and resetting tables, polishing cutlery, plates and glasses, refill condiments, stock receiving/arrangement, general cleanliness of the Restaurant, and maintaining the table arrangement from the layout, will also be carried out respectively.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Seat guests promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference.
    • Review guest reservation book and make recommendations as to the set-up of the room.
    • Take food and beverage orders while applying the upselling technique
    • Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Answer telephones and take guest reservations.
    • Recognize regular guests by name and utilize the guest's name consistently.
    • Ensure proper table set-up and make minor adjustments as needed.
    • Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, plates, and glasses for service in an unobtrusive manner.

    • Assist the Supervisor and Restaurant Manager in monthly stock take
    • General cleanliness of the Restaurant
    • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
    • Any ad-hoc task assigned by the Supervisor/Restaurant Manager

    Waiter Requirements:

    • Must be willing to work in Non-Halal restaurant
    • Enjoys delivering high quality guest service with a welcoming manner
    • Possess strong interpersonal skills with fluency in English
    • Preferably with 1 - 2 years' experience in a similar role (Not Compulsary as training will be provided).
    • Had eye for details and able to provide best fit solutions for guests.
    • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, PH and long hours
    • The ideal applicant must have full working rights in Malaysia.
    • Must be willing to work in Publika, Mont Kiara
