    Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil - marks the first Hyatt Place hotel in Malaysia. Located in Bukit Jalil, an affluent suburb located within the southern corridor of Kuala Lumpur, the hotel features 250 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, large Ballroom, 4 meeting rooms and flexible event space, Rooftop restaurant, a fitness centre, and a sky pool.

    We are currently looking for a Human Resources - Host to join us as we continue to embark this exciting journey with the hotel. This position reports to the hotel Human Resources Manager.

    Main Duties

    Administration

  • Ensures all documents related to the section properly filed for reference.
  • Ensures all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure all Materials Orders are placed, received and stored to ensure use by dates and any spoilage issues are managed.
  • Ensures Associate files are maintained and associates payroll and leave records are processed and maintained
  • General

  • Attends and contributes to all Meetings as required.
  • Provides courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Assists in recruitment activities, prepares and posts vacancy announcements, contacts applicants for screening interviews; screens applications and resumes; arranges interviews appointment and refers suitable candidates to Department Heads; checks and documents applicant references.
  • Assists with the coordination of the associate recognition programmes.
  • Assists by checking to ensure all associate facilities are maintained within standards, i.e. Associate Lockers, Associate Restaurant, Associate Dormitory and Associates' smoking area.
  • Willingly attends hotel training sessions as scheduled to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Handles guest and associate enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing feedback for a prompt follow up.
  • Is knowledgeable in statutory legislation in associate and industrial relations, understanding and strictly adhering to Rules & Regulations established in the Associate Handbook and the Hotel's policies concerning fire, hygiene and health & safety.
  • Ensures high standards of personal presentation & grooming.
  • Prepares letters of offer; assist in new associate orientation.
  • Maintains an updated list of applicants and applicant files.
  • Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
  • Exercises responsible management and behaviour at all times and positively representing the Hotel and Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
  • Assists and participates in all Human Resources activities.
  • Ensures and practices the utmost protection of office's confidentiality.
  • Responds to requests to undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties and to changes as dictated by the Hotel, industry and company.
  • Other Duties

  • Is knowledgeable in statutory legislation in associate and industrial relations.
  • Understands and strictly adheres to Rules and Regulations established in the Associate Handbook and the Hotel's policies concerning fire, hygiene and health and safety.
  • Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
  • Maintains strong, professional relationships with relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organisations, including local schools, hotel schools and universities.
  • Responds to changes in the Human Resources function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.
  • Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required.
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
