Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer located in Batu Kawan, Penang. Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

What a typical day looks like:

1. Advising the management on EHS issues as well as developing EHS policies and procedures
2. Monitoring and controlling EHS and compliance in the organization as per the law and organization's policy
3. Carrying out EHS inspections and internal audits and reporting to management with suggestions
4. Ensure preventive measures, administrative control and personal protective equipment are implemented and used
5. Investigate and report accidents and near misses
6. Record keeping of all EHS events, training and drills

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

• Competence Person as SHO
• Competence in CePSWaM is an advantage
• Good Education of Environmental health and safety
• Working knowledge and experience of environment, health and safety
• Working knowledge of emergency and safety procedures
• Working knowledge of laws and regulations related to the environment and workplace health and safety
• Working knowledge in ISO14001 and ISO45001 is an advantage

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
• Requires a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in EH&S or related position.
• Prior experience in EH&S within a manufacturing environment preferred .
• Record of achievements in projects/implementations.
