    Description
    Position Overview

    This role is responsible for the critical duties of managing, drafting and negotiating reinsurance contracts (treaties) by working closely with professionals from various disciplines within the company and RGA's clients in the Southeast Asian markets with primary focus on Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia markets.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the company's legal, pricing, business development, actuarial, underwriting and claims teams to manage and draft reinsurance contracts and other documents, ensuring business objectives are met and the company's best practices are followed.
    • Client management via negotiations, resolving differences, and ensuring documents are executed in a timely manner.
    • Continually monitor the status of outstanding reinsurance contracts and take appropriate follow-up actions.
    • Periodically review and update reinsurance contract templates for compliance with the company's guidelines and applicable insurance laws and regulations.
    • Be responsible for the internal/external reporting requirements imposed by the company from time to time.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Law or related discipline.
    • Graduates with relevant chambering/attachment experience; prior working experience in a corporate setting, or knowledge of the life insurance/reinsurance industry, types of reinsurance arrangement and reinsurance contract provisions will be viewed favourably.
    • Experience in drafting commercial contracts and negotiating contract terms with external parties.
    • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Excellent project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, efficient, and independent.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to changes.
    • Quick learner and self-motivator with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Good command of computer skills such as MS Word and Excel.
