Responsibilities:

Enhancing current process flows and identifying opportunities to leverage technologies (such as systems, RPA, Power Automate, AI, and IT developments)
Makes recommendations to improve business processes and internal controls
Drive implementation of process and systems improvement, standardization and automation
Lead postmortem assessment and sets parameters for monitoring implemented process and system improvements.
Active involvement with relevant functions in projects and ad hoc activities to standardize and simplify end to end finance processes for continuous improvement of administrative efficiencies whilst ensuring effectiveness of the control environment.
Deliver adequate and timely reporting on ICS, control deficiencies and action plans to ensure appropriate communication, documentation and escalation to senior leadership.
Deliver adequate and timely action plans and monitor progress to address and resolve control deficiencies.
Assist superior with timely and accurate preparation of consolidation accounts for quarterly announcement and year end reporting in accordance with local/international accounting standards and compliance with Companies Act.
Support superior in preparation of financial reports and presentation slides after monthend, quarterly and yearend closing for presentation to senior management, including trend/variance analyses and commentaries.
Work closely with internal stakeholders for the timely reporting of financial results to senior leadership, Bursa Malaysia, Companies Commission and other regulatory bodies as necessary.
Actively engage and coordinate with external auditors to facilitate a smooth and timely audit and closure, including preparation of management accounts, provision of required schedules and supporting documents, preparation of draft accounts, resolution of all relevant risks and audit findings

Job Requirements:

Degree or professional qualification in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline
Minimum three to five years experience in a similar role preferably with country controlling / audit / compliance exposure; project management experience is a must.
Demonstrate sound knowledge in finance/accounting practices and processes, IT infrastructures, contract management, understanding of the business and industry etc.
Proven experience operating in an SAP accounting environment is an advantage
Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills, including statistical computations
Demonstrate sound knowledge and interest in technology and systems to support internal control effectiveness and efficiency
Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
