- Follow established procedures and guidelines to perform routine laboratory procedures to test the quality of the organization's raw materials, in- process products, and finished products.
- Perform routine quantitative and qualitative chemical or biological analysis to verify process conditions and compile research data.
- Evaluate the physical characteristics of raw materials and products such as permeability, disintegration, and crystal growth viscosity.
- Record results, perform calculations, and prepare simple technical reports, including conclusions and recommendations.
- Follow instructions and checklists to set-up equipment and apparatus and mix chemical solutions for use in tests.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and one to four years of experience. (For Healthcare refer to Laboratory Technician (Healthcare) - Experienced).
