    Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage Tool Setup Room, supporting machining shop, with timely delivery of setup tools in required quality (according to CAM manager specification); ensure availability of tools with inventory at reasonable storage cost level.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement process and maintain 6S at work environment to increase the productivity and maintain safety
  • Timely perform maintenance and calibration on tool setting equipment, gauges, cutting tools, according to schedule; including maintaining of coolant (Heat shrink machine)
  • Properly setup and handle tool setting equipment, cutting tools, with correct program and parameters for tool pre-setting processes.
  • Consistently maintain optimum tool stock level to meet demand and delivery
  • Accurately maintain information in Production Supporting System (i.e. Tools inventory, cost, quality, delivery leadtime) with accurate data entry and timely transactions.
  • Perform task according to procedure and work instruction
  • Perform timely recording and accurate reporting of production status as specially departmental KPI
  • Reports to and supports supervisor in term of coordinating and communicating in case of quality issues, availability of parts and components, critical delivery deadlines
  • Support Metrology in part measurement to ensure product quality including CMM (Co-ordinate Maesurement Machine), Surface measurement, Contour measurement, Manual gauging with Linear Height, Micrometer, etc
  • Support of various quality-related issues
  • Detection of quality and process improvements as well as their implementation
  • Interpretation technical drawings
  • Support daily task that given by superior from time to time.
  • Qualifications and Key skills:

  • Prefer 3 years of machining experience in CNC Machining (prefer Horizontal Milling or Turn-Milling with solid carbide and PCD cutting tools)
  • Prefer experienced with tool management such as tool life monitoring, tool presetting (heat shrink assembly, measuring and balancing), tool stock control
  • Experienced in using measuring equipment, e.g. Gauges, profile projector, CMM etc.
  • Quality awareness
  • Good characters for teamwork and reliability
  • Prefer Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Good eye-sight (necessary for visual control of tools)
  • Special skills (such as special certifications)

  • Prefer with PSDC or JMTI Level 2~3
