    The Role

    In this role you will research, assess, analyse and evaluate potential acquisitions intended to grow the business, staffed with the appropriate resources from inside and outside the company, and within our established governance framework. This role will be based in our Kuala Lumpur (Mutiara Damasara) office or Manila (BGC) office with the flexibility for this role to be remote.

    Objectives of the role include:

  • Making initial contact and developing relationships with lime and limestone consuming businesses
  • Understanding and monitoring long-term trends in lime and limestone consuming industries, such as transition metals, for the purpose of identifying investment opportunities
  • Participate in the M&A process including identifying and selecting potential investment targets and in due diligence
  • Continuously learn from exposure to deal sourcing, structuring, due diligence, negotiations, valuation, documentation and communications (internal/external), that are integral aspects of all deal execution
  • Prepare analysis and supporting documents for internal decision-making purposes
  • Provide support to other tasks for the team as required
  • Capabilities and attributes about yourself to be successful in the role:

  • Competency in negotiation and conflict management
  • Successful years of experience in corporate development, consulting or similar experience
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent; MBA or Master's degree highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is desired
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Asia Pacific region and beyond, 50%
