- Create and maintain optimal and scalable data pipeline architecture
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources and 'big data' technologies.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Automate dataset creation using multiple sources of data
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
- Codes, tests, and documents new or modified data systems to create robust and scalable applications for data analytics
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, CX and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Occasionally liaise directly with customers to gather and define the analytics requirements
- Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
- Experience working with Azure Cloud Services
- Experience cleaning and analyzing large data sets with appropriate data technologies
- Advanced proficiency creating SQL queries, PowerBI datasets and reports
- Experience with Tableau or other analytic tools
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly

CAE is looking for a Data Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for transforming data into a format that can be consumed by other analytics stakeholders. You'll be designing, developing, maintaining and testing infrastructure for data generation. You'll be building end-to-end cloud-based analytics pipelines that are scalable, repeatable and secure. You'll also play an instrumental role enabling architecture solutions for Data Science and advanced modelling projects.
