Our portfolio contains an ecosystem of applications designed to bring mission-critical intelligence from the command center to in-field operations. This includes a suite of communication, collaboration, and workflow apps. We are building some of the most meaningful software today. Real, professional, tools.

The design team includes Interaction Designers, UI/Visual Designers, UX Designers, Industrial Designers and User Experience & Human Factors Researchers. We work closely with our development partners to ensure the best end-to-end solutions.

THE JOB

As a Senior UI/Visual Designer, you will focus on user interfaces and visual designs in collaboration with the UX Design, and our Design System teams. You are an advocate of user-centered-design principles, with a natural curiosity to understand people, and how they interact with products. You're a system-thinker and are passionate about furthering our Design System while leveraging it to ensure consistency across the product suite. You are a team player who enjoys working and brainstorming with other designers, programmers, and managers.

In this role, you will be part of our Design Team in Penang, Malaysia, and you will focus on collaborating with the UX design team to turn their design direction into final UI/Visual assets and work closely with developers to ensure pixel perfect implementation. You would also take care of our Device Design library and visual systems, conceptualizing, creating and/or extending a "visual system" – including design elements such as colors, typography, layout and tone – and summarizing in style guides. You will also be a part of our core advocate designing different components, icons, and other visual assets. As part of a multidisciplinary team, our Designers must be able to multitask, work under pressure, and have a strong focus on even the smallest details. We are diligent, so our customers find the same reliability in our UI that has been the hallmark of our hardware for years.

ABOUT YOU

•5+ years of professional experience in UI/Visual design, preferably at a company focused on designing and delivering Device and Software solutions.

• You have a passion and knowledge for type, color, sizing, and iconography and it's application to device interface or mobile products

• You have significant experience to work with complex Design Systems, building into, and off of, the existing ecosystem

• You can partner closely with engineering to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of your designs

• You collaborate with UX designers to achieve the highest quality user experience given the constraints

• You pay almost fanatically close attention to every detail

• You are proficient in Figma, and experienced in managing Figma based Design Library (we use Figma for daily design work)

• You have a strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices, and are good at validating your design through design principles.

• You are a great team player and have strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

• You have an exceptional portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to design and maintain high quality, consistent user interface designs

Basic Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in UI/Visual design

• Minimum undergraduate

• Experience in working with and managing complex Design Systems

• Proficient in Figma Tool

• Experienced in Adobe Suite

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal

• Teamplayer, experienced in working collaborative culture

• Experienced in collaborating with Engineers, Developers, and Product Managers

• Multitasking, work under pressure, detail oriented

• Adaptive to diversity culture and work environment

• Comprehensive Portfolio of Work

• Able to relocate to Penang, Malaysia

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• A history of strategic thinking reflected in your ability to speak about your designs with clarity and conviction

• An understanding of UX design and process to collaborate with UX designers with the same language

• Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience in After effects and Motion Graphics will be an added advantage.
