Description

Job Responsibility

Test Planning

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on project documentation.

Test Execution

Execute manual and, if applicable, automated test cases to verify the functionality and performance of software applications.
Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality.

Defect Identification And Reporting

Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and issues.
Work closely with developers and other team members to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

Automated Testing (Optional)

Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.
Implement and execute automated testing as part of the overall testing strategy.

Performance Testing

Conduct performance testing to ensure the scalability and reliability of software applications.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks.

Compatibility Testing

Conduct compatibility testing on different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
Ensure that software products meet specified compatibility requirements.

Documentation

Maintain detailed and organized test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Provide clear and concise feedback to development teams.

Collaboration

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand user requirements and system functionality.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the QA function.
Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the QA process.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a QA Specialist or similar role.

Testing Tools

Proficiency in using manual and automated testing tools.
Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is a plus.

Testing Methodologies

Familiarity with various testing methodologies, including black-box testing, and regression testing.

Communication Skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate issues and collaborate effectively with team members.

Problem-solving Skills
