    Job Summary

    Your main role is responsible for achieving company/department goals and objectives by meeting a sales target and working closely with assigned brokers to establish strong partnerships. This role also involves maintaining a high level of compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements to ensure strict adherence and uphold the highest level of compliance.

    Key responsibilities

  • Develop New Business and ensure retention of existing clients and accounts from assigned portfolio/ brokers.
  • Responsible for developing and building strong relationships with assigned brokers to achieve company/department objectives/targets.
  • Underwrite all cases of business within the given authority limits and liaise with superiors/ underwriters on risk retention where appropriate.
  • Manage and conduct on-boarding, training and briefing on new products and services to brokers/clients.
  • Assist Supervising Manager in the preparation of sales and production reports as and when necessary.
  • Manage outstanding premium of accounts and ensure payment made within the stipulated payment terms so that impairment is kept to the absolute minimum.
  • Adhering to company's guidelines and its compliance as well as PIAM, BNM and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain proper filing record (including e-filing) for ease of reference.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Supervising Manager or immediate manager
  • Requirement:

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a related field is an added advantage
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities whilst retaining existing business
  • Ability to close and complete business offers from Brokers and Corporate Agents
  • Strong verbal and communication skills for effective interaction with Brokers, team members and other stakeholders.
  • Have an existing network of business contacts, espeically in the Broking segment to build and maintain relationships.
  • Keen knowldege of the insurance products and market. Aware of industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities.
  • Analytical skills to assess data and information to make informed decisions.
  • Have a strategic thinking mindset
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated efforts to business development.
  • Negotiation & Leadership ability
  • Experience in the insurance business is necessary and preferably in a Sales or Broking capacity
