    •Manage applications delivery of existing Middleware and BPM applications assigned through agile resource management to support business strategy

    •Manage high stability of existing Middleware and BPM applications

    •Manage smooth transition of existing Middleware and BPM applications with global pulse strategies

    •Change management advocate that drives and enables a culture of agile transformation to be fostered within direct team and business

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Applications Delivery

  • Manage applications delivery of existing Middleware and BPM applications assigned through agile resource management to support business strategy
  • Manage delivery towards enhancing various maturity levels of existing Middleware and BPM applications inline with global strategies
  • Manage and review system changes adhered inline with global strategies and global integration
  • Manage and optimize system delivery via proper adoption CICD architecture
  • Manage application availability with timely resolution of issues and problems
  • Ensure application adhere to Audit and Risk standard of Prudential
  • Change Management

  • Drive the culture of agile transformation and change within your team and with business.
  • Possess the drive to learn and master new technologies and technique
  • Team Management

  • Establish clear accountabilities and authority levels for direct reports and build a strong culture of accountability and performance in order to ensure delivery of business and application support goals.
  • Build & maintaining organizational options and succession planning within the team
  • Promote teams to adopt and practice new ways of working, customer centric and agile mindset
  • Ongoing mentoring for team members.
  • Ongoing monitoring and management of team morale.
  • JOB SPECIFICATION:

    Qualifications

  • Degree from a recognized University preferably in Business, Insurance Studies, Information Technology, Computer Science, etc
  • Professional qualification in Life Insurance i.e., Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII), Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII), Life Office Management Association (LOMA), Australian Institute of Insurance (AII), International Claim Association (ICA) or other related to Life Insurance Industry would be an added advantage
  • Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years working experience in application development – digital platform
  • Experience in managing a cross-functional team with demonstrated skills in managing application delivery
  • Critical problem solving, execution, and change management skills
  • Ability to inspire co-operation and co-ordinate activities across teams
  • Strong knowledge in DevOps tools (OpenSource or otherwise) and practices and Agile software development methodology
  • Technical proficiency in programming language: Frontend – HTML/CSS, Javascript, Java (Full stack), ReactJS, Angular JS, React Native Languages – Python, Ruby, Java, etc Rest API, Swagger and API Gateway, SOAP API DevOps tool – Jenkins, Bamboo, etc Linux platform and shell script AIX platform and shell script Window platform and bat script
  • Familiar with Cloud such as - AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google cloud platforms
  • Familiar with data management, SQL and NoSQL databases (in-memory or otherwise)
  • Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Life Insurance industry best practices
  • Knowledge of agile development methodology (SCRUM)
  • Knowledge of CICD pipeline and setup
