- Develop, implement and monitor biodiversity and natural resource management strategies in line with MISC business objectives and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG).
- Develop and implement community-related environmental programmes as an integral part of MISC's biodiversity conservation roadmap.
- Plan and manage employee engagement initiatives and communication, aimed at embedding environmental sustainability internally in MISC by promoting environmental awareness and education of MISC staff at all levels.
- Bachelor Degree in natural resources management, environmental science, marine science, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of relevant work experience with at least 5 years in leading and managing environmental conservation programmes or related fields such as natural resources management, biodiversity conservation, coastal and marine biodiversity, and community and alternative livelihood development.
- Knowledge of marine conservation, community development and policy/ institutional context related to conservation in Malaysia.
- Proven experience of working with NGOs and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in Marine Protected Areas management would be a strong asset
