- Translate business requirements and lead solutioning and brainstorming sessions with subject matter experts across all disciplines.
- Provide technical direction and leadership to a diverse team of technology experts throughout all stages of the development lifecycle.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the technology team enabling them to achieve business objectives in an environment with a strong internal and external customer focus, where delivering value incrementally is promoted.
- Promote teamwork and cross-skilling by encouraging team members to collaborate, share information and ideas outside of the BU.
- Leverage subject matter experts to ensure the quality and timeliness of all outcomes
- Escalate performance concerns to line managers
- Ensure technical guidelines are being followed, improved upon, updated and communicated within and outside the BU often
- Balanced view of commercial benefit against the technical designs proposed
- Actively identify technical risks and mitigations
- Assist in sales activity through security responses
- Provides input into Corporate Social Responsibilities plans when required
- years' experience in solution delivery and/or leading teams delivering software or other produce developments in Java/Go
- 5+ years' experience solving a diverse range of problems covering front and back of house problem sets.
- 3+ years experience in modern software development practices
- Experience with integration patterns and platform integration architecture
- Experience in architecting customer facing APIs
- Experience with cloud technologies (like AWS ) and containerisation
- Experience with security domains . ISO27K1 experience not essential but highly regarded
- Telco experience not required but high favoured
- Well-versed in current technological trends
- Strong customer focused and communication skills
- Experience playing a servant leader role across engineering teams

This role is responsible for translating the strategic objectives of the business unit into a cohesive technical design that utilises either existing software and/or infrastructure within the division and/or the introduction of new designs that align with division guidelines.
