- Resource Planning: Leading a team responsible for planning and allocating resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Problem Solving: Leading a team on troubleshooting efforts to resolve manufacturing issues, whether related to process inefficiencies, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to ensure that products meet all necessary specifications and quality standards.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure manufacturing engineering processes adhere to health and safety regulations, creating a safe working environment for employees.
- Training and Development: Managers identify training needs within the engineering team and facilitate relevant skill development and training programs to enhance their capabilities.
- Budget Management: Responsible for budget planning and cost control, ensuring that the department operates within allocated financial resources. Drive cost optimization/reduction activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive culture of continuous improvement within the department, encouraging the team to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Collaboration with other Departments: Work closely with other departments such as production, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless coordination and cooperation in achieving manufacturing goals.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of engineering processes, project progress, and other relevant information. Prepare regular reports for upper management on departmental performance and achievements.
- Minimum Degree in Engineering/Science/Material Science
- 10 years or more working experience in high volume manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership skill and strong Teamwork player
- Strong in Statistical, data analysis skills, IE knowledge, head count modelling & planning
- Strong Communication and project management skill
