- Knowledgeable and Experienced in multiple phases of the Plexus product realization process which includes - conceptualize, Design, Commercialize, Manufacture, Fulfill, Sustain.
- Develops engineering/product concepts that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements independently without direction from mentors or functional management.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary design work including design creation, design analysis, and design verification.
- Participates in proposal development, with support, through the identification of project tasks, durations, interdependencies, risks, and assumptions.
- Demonstrates effective communications (teleconference, email, and in-person) through interaction with customers (internal and external) regarding project technical subject matter.
- Perform Design for Excellence (DFX) reviews of circuit board assemblies to determine ways in which to improve the design with the goal of reducing material and labor costs, increasing quality and improving long term reliability.
- You will be part of the DFX team to perform analysis of designs in the areas of bare board fabrication, assembly and test.
- Provide review feedback to internal design teams and external customers.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, Design Engineers, PCB fabrication personnel, Plexus manufacturing and test Engineering personnel to ensure a producible product.
- Identify and develop potential new DFX service offerings for both internal and external customers.
- Focal technical liaison in between Customer & Manufacturing, resolving technical issues with both process & design recommendations.
- Ensure quality of Valor Part Libraries which will be utilized for the DFX analysis.
- Master / Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering; or
- Preferably a minimum of 3 year experience in board assembly experience.
- Preferably a minimum of 1 year experience in using Valor software or equivalent.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of PCB Design and bare board fabrication is a plus.
- Possesses strong learning agility and passionate in mastering design.
- Passionate in developing products that meet product requirements and customer expectations.
- Strong computer skills, decision making, problem solving and excellent verbal / written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and cross cultural team environment.
- Possess the skills and passion to mentor junior engineers as needed. .
