    a) Management Reporting and Analytics

  • Perform and supervise the preparation and consolidation of management reporting deck for monthly Management Committee and Quarterly Strategic Business Management meetings.
  • Perform financial analysis on financial performance, income variance analysis, rate and volume analysis, policy rate change impact analysis and simulations, tracking of Financials KPIs.
  • Review monthly MC Reporting Deck for all business units/ subsidiaries/ regional entities and ensure consistency in format and requirement set by the Head Office.
  • Validation and provide variance analysis on income section by product / business segments of forecast / budget, highlight opportunities / deviations if any.
  • Attend BNM's queries related to yield, cost of fund, net interest margin analysis as well as foreign entities operations.
  • Oversee Branch Profitability Reporting and providing support to Finance at branches related to Branches' P&L queries.
  • Review operating and capital expenditure requests by regional entities, ensure submission in compliance with Expenditure Pre-approval SOP before approval.
  • Coordinate annual review and update of SLAs between head office and regional entities.
  • Provide support to Risk and GALCO for monthly / quarterly meetings on financial performance and data. Key coordinator from head office in attending to regional entities' requests in terms of finance related support as and when required.
  • Participate in International Business Review with senior management, validation of results, preparing CFO summary notes and insights to management.
  • Involve in annual Budget and monthly forecast exercise for regional entities, validation of submission, tracking of performance and progress for AAMs.
  • Perform and supervise any ad-hoc MIS reports required by the management team.
  • b) Peer Benchmarking / Market Share reporting

  • Perform and supervise the benchmarking functions. Provide relevant and timely benchmarking info/analysis to management team / Risk / GALCO including Peers Profitability Performance, Key KPIs, Asset Quality, Loan and Deposits benchmarking report.
  • Maintain accurate and relevant industry and competitors' financial database and analyst's presentation to facilitate timely tracking of competitors' quarterly financial performance based on latest available position vs the Bank to identify potential opportunities and risks based on latest market performance.
  • Preparation of quarterly benchmarking dashboard against Top 5 banks i.e. MBB, CIMB, PBB, RHB & AMB for performance comparison.
  • Produce detailed monthly market share reporting for tracking and understanding of current and potential market performance.
  • Attend different business owners and management requests on all competitors benchmarking info and reports including preparation of any ad-hoc competitors' benchmarking reports.
  • c) Board Papers Compilation

  • Prepare and supervise the monthly Board Papers compilation including preparation of CFO report, GMD report, financial performance analysis and any ad-hoc Board Papers and reports.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely compilation of full Board Papers from respective divisions and overseas branches' submission to Company Secretary.
  • d) Automation Project

  • Participate in Finance Datamart automation project, submitting user requirements and reviewing areas for automation upon project kick start.
