    Description

    Job Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the logistics operations division of Bollore Malaysia to achieve the logistics key performance index and the required service standards
    • Define requirements for multiple operations and ensures the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed Company requirements & customer expectations
    • Work in conjunction with Business Development and Operations on new business and Account Management on penetration business within current customer base
    • Conduct feasibility & analytical study on new and existing business
    • Regularly reviews performance expectations with senior leadership team and operations managers. Providing expectations, performance planning, feedback on operation status and budget figures
    • Manage operations, warehouse & customer service and relationship through providing regular feedback and periodic operations review with clients to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
    • Monitor quality, cost & efficiency of existing operations
    • Identify, appoint and manage contract service providers in support of operational activities
    • Ensure that the logistics services provided are billed timely and accurately
    • Defines roles and responsibilities, plans for the department's future needs and operations; counsels managers on performance
    • Administers and communicates company policies
    • Ensure safe and secure work environment for all employees

    Business Continuity Management

    • To play the role as key members to support the Crisis Manager in leading their respective departments during a crisis
    • Drive the implementation and maintenance of the business continuity program across the organization
    • Ensure that Business Continuity program components are current, effective, and address the business requirements
    • Support business continuity related initiatives, to include site selection, strategy development, in-house training

    Team Management

    • Ensure and monitor team compliance to the Bollore's Code of Conduct and Company's regulations
    • Ensure team understanding and implementation on Bollore's Value in daily work behaviors
    • Plan and monitor team performance including give coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes
    • Plan and monitor team development together with HR Division
    • Ensure updated Job Description availability for the team by coordinating with HR Division
    • Ensure all changes in Department / Section communicated properly to the team

    QHSE Compliance

    • Participate in the set-up and follow-up of internal standard procedures to enhance productivity and transparency.
    • Maintain acceptable Health, Safety and Environmental risk levels in his/her area of responsibility.
    • Ensure the compliance with applicable legal requirements.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
    • Minimum 10 years solid experience in logistics
    • Field experience in setting strategies, planning and improving logistics efficiency and effectiveness
    • Ambitious & self-driven
    • Strong analytical skills Strong management and leadership skills with good business instinct and excellent communication skills
    • Excellent command in written and spoken English
    Knowledge of freight forwarding will be an added advantage
