    Job Description

    As the Security Tester - Manual Assessment, your role involves advancing and refining the approach to handle customer requests and inquiries related to technical testing. Your expertise will contribute to the evolution and upkeep of testing methodologies. Other Duties Include:
    • Assisting in the technical scoping of security testing endeavors.
    • Curating and evaluating vulnerability data across various platforms and tools, focusing on manual penetration techniques for genuine exploitation.
    • Engaging in typical security testing tasks such as software/web application/web services penetration testing, network penetration testing, mobile application penetration testing, and thick client penetration testing.
    • Undertaking focused research when not actively engaged in an ongoing project.
    • Conducting Architecture Security Analysis and Threat Modeling as necessary.
    • Curating and assessing vulnerability data from a code assessment standpoint, ensuring thorough review and analysis of false positives to provide precise outcomes to customers.
    • Providing technical support to member firms in executing required remedial actions and addressing client inquiries or disclosures related to vulnerabilities.
    • Developing tool deployment strategies and relevant scanning configurations to enhance the practicality of testing procedures.
    • Contributing to broader organizational efforts aimed at risk reduction and continuous enhancement of vulnerability-related services.
    • Cultivating a profound understanding of DGSL and Member Firm IT operations and their capabilities for remediation.

    The Successful Applicant

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a professional environment, preferably within an operational security capacity (e.g., application testing, penetration testing).
    • Demonstrated track record of successfully collaborating with diverse cultures across global contexts, showcasing traits of patience, understanding, and collaborative prowess.
    • Proficiency in working with any of the following platforms/tools is highly advantageous: Kali Linux, Burp Suite Pro, Nmap, Metasploit, Postman, Qualys/Tenable, or equivalent tools.
    • Possess a knack for both creative and analytical thinking, allowing effective prioritization of tasks.
    • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver content within stringent timelines.
    • Proficient in credible stakeholder management and adept at building robust relationships.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and collaborative aptitudes. Ability to convey strategic information security themes, policies, standards, and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Sound understanding of common infrastructure and web application vulnerabilities, coupled with familiarity with prevalent vulnerability categorizations such as OWASP, CVSS.
    Education:
    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a business or cyber security domain, or have relevant work experience in a pertinent field.
    Preferred:
    • Experience in Secure DevOps would be considered a valuable addition.
    • Familiarity with ticketing and tracking tools, such as Service Now - Security Operations.
