Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Financial Controller to join our growing retail organization. You will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations and providing strategic financial guidance. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the financial health and profitability of our retail business.

Description

Manage the entire accounting function, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow).Develop and maintain the annual budget and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and recommending corrective actions.Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.Partner with store operations to analyze profitability, cost control measures, and identify areas for improvement.Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management.Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure a smooth audit process.Stay up-to-date on retail industry trends and best practices in financial management.

Profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).Minimum 10 years of working experience, with at least 3-5 years within the retail industry.Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and retail accounting practices.Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Proficient in accounting software, SAP.
