    Description

    The Director of Sales and Business Expansion in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is a senior leadership role responsible for driving sales strategies, revenue growth, and overall business expansion. This role encompasses not only the FMCG sector but also involves exploring new branches, business opportunities, and diversification efforts. The role requires a strategic visionary who can lead a dynamic team while identifying and capitalizing on growth prospects beyond the traditional FMCG domain.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    1. Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for the existing FMCG product lines. Leverage market insights, consumer trends, and competitive analysis to refine sales strategies and drive growth. Implement pricing strategies that balance profitability and market competitiveness.

    2. Business Expansion and Diversification: Identify and evaluate opportunities for expanding the company's business portfolio beyond FMCG, including new branches, products, or services. Lead feasibility studies and market research to assess the viability of new business ventures.

    3. Market Penetration and New Branch Development: Explore new geographical markets for potential branch openings, assessing market demand and competition. Develop business plans and execute strategies for successful branch launches, including sales, marketing, and operations.

    4. Strategic Partnerships and Alliances: Establish and foster partnerships with potential collaborators, distributors, or complementary businesses to drive business expansion efforts. Negotiate and manage strategic alliances to enhance the company's market presence.

    5. Team Leadership and Management: Build, develop, and lead a high-performing sales and business expansion team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Encourage cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between sales, marketing, operations, and finance.

    6. Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for sales operations, business expansion projects, and new branch openings. Monitor financial performance and make data-driven decisions to ensure profitability and sustainable

    7. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by fostering a culture of creativity and exploration within the sales and business expansion teams. Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and market positioning.

    8. Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with executive leadership and relevant stakeholders to provide updates on sales performance, business expansion projects, and opportunities.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the FMCG industry, with experience in business expansion.
    • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and a vision for identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
    • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and industry dynamics.
    • Effective negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Proficiency in using sales management software, CRM tools, and financial analysis tools.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial resources.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take calculated risks.
    • Flexibility to travel as required for branch openings, business meetings, and market exploration.
