    NS BlueScope ASEAN DET (Digital Enabling Team) group consists of 44 energetic IT professionals located across 5 different countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand & Vietnam) in ASEAN. The team provide services in IT Enterprise Infrastructure, Applications, as well as Data & Analytics to support and enable NS BlueScope business needs. Collectively, DET is responsible for keeping all IT systems and applications operating efficiently and in good health. In addition, the group is responsible for assessing and deploying new technology to enable new business capabilities working closely with all business functions.

Being a multinational company, we have a complete set-up and integration of IT infrastructure, business applications and data analytics capabilities, and at the same time, remain nimble and agile in evolving our technology and people capabilities as needed.     The Workplace Engineer is required to enhancing Workplace Experience by designing and implementing workplace solutions that improve the overall experience for employees, while they also need to increase Efficiency and Productivity by evaluating existing workplace technologies, processes, and drive improvement, and staying up to date technological advancements with industry trends and emerging technologies. Besides that, the Workplace Engineer will provide technology and workplace support to the office and plant areas and work closely with Infra product owners in supporting the infrastructure. Moreover, they will engage constantly with business users to increase adoption of workplace technology and provide learning/education awareness to establish self-service available workplace environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborates closely with other business functions and other teams to integrate workplace technologies and process seamlessly
    • Evaluate existing workplace technologies, processes, and tools to identify areas for improvement and innovation
    • Design and implement user-centric workplace solutions, including mobile applications, collaboration tools, smart office systems, and other technologies. This is to increase overall workplace experience and establish self-service available workplace environment
    • Ensure workplace technologies and systems are reliable, secure, and compliant with defined blueprint
    • Provide 3rd level and 2nd level workplace support and drive continuous improvement in workplace support

    Qualification and/or experienced required:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
    • Strong knowledge of digital workplace technologies, including collaboration platforms, cloud services, enterprise social networks, and productivity tools
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

    Preferred to have:

    • Proficiency in implementing and supporting digital workplace infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
    • Certification in relevant technologies or platforms, such as Microsoft Office 365 or other collaboration suites
    • Knowledge of emerging technologies, such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and artificial intelligence (AI), in the context of the digital workplace
    • Knowledge in automation (scripting) is preferred
    • Understanding of Cloud technology, SAAS (software as a service)
