    JOB TITLE: PETROLEUM ENGINEER/PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIST

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver Petroleum Engineering and Production Technology input, studies, solutions, and technical support in multi-disciplinary teams responsible for developing and executing annual work and study plans that satisfy requirements and meet the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Champion knowledge-sharing, peer-reviewing, and mentoring within the Production Technology team and beyond through multi-disciplinary collaboration, focused personnel development, a consistent work process, and timely documentation and data compilation to ensure that knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned are readily disseminated within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain current well models, calibrated with field measurements and observation, to allow timely characterization, accurate prognosis, and diagnosis of well production challenges and needs.
  • Design, execute, and evaluate suitable well production enhancement techniques and appropriate well remedies and treatments for flow assurance challenges including sanding, scales, wax, and reservoir souring to improve well productivity and realize each well's production potential in a safe, sustainable, and economical manner.
  • Define the requirements and basis of designs for well completion, artificial lifting, and production enhancement to yield cost-effective well utilization over its life cycle under prevailing and forecasted reservoir conditions.
  • Keep abreast of new production technology, assess its technical and operational applicability and financial viability, develop pilot project execution plans, obtain stakeholder concurrence, and evaluate trial results for field-wide implementation to realize the technology's ultimate value-creation potential.
  • Identify and propose annual budget needs for the Petroleum Engineering study and work plan for management deliberation and approval; monitor and control the approved annual study and work budget to ensure that expenditures are in line with the business plan.
  • Comply with all applicable health, safety, security, environment, and asset integrity laws and regulations and adhere to Petrofac and other relevant standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, or earth science from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar position, preferably with an oil operator.
  • Proficient and experienced in delivering production technology and petroleum engineering input, studies, solutions, and technical support within but not limited to artificial lifting, production enhancement, well stimulation, reservoir surveillance and management, flow assurance, well completion, and well integrity domains.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with all aspects of the petroleum production system, including reservoir characterization, field development planning and execution, well drilling, workover, servicing/intervention/ integrity, testing, and completion, production surveillance, operations, processes, facilities, flow assurance, and production chemistry.
  • Proficient in applying key well and subsurface modelling tools, including Prosper, WellCAT, OFM, GAP, Saphir, and Microsoft Offices, to develop conceptual engineering designs, diagnose real-world field development challenges, and deliver economically viable production solutions.
  • Analytical and interpretative skill and expertise in petroleum engineering, production enhancement, and reservoir surveillance processes, workflows, and applications.
  • Artificial lift design, execution, and evaluation proficiency with in-depth technical strength in gas lift application.
