    Description

    Malaysia is a key growth market for the Motul Asia Pacific Group. Trade Category Manager will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Country Manager, to steer and oversee country trade and retail activities across the region.

    This role will require agility to partner with key stakeholders across Global and APAC Business Units on the deployment of Trade Marketing, Event Activation as well as Branding & Communications so as to ensure that all marketing objectives from the strategic house is achieved.

    Category – B2C Lubricants

    • Maximise Trade Marketing Promotions and Initiatives across Malaysia for the B2C Lubricants
    • Organize and deploy recommended promotion strategies for key product categories of B2C lubricants.
    • Partner with our vendors and distributors in the expansion of branded network and garages through deployment of workshop planning and trade retail standards.
    • Strategise and execute market trade offers through analysis of market sell-out and sell-in data trendlines.
    • Identify and execute on expansion opportunities on product categories in respective dealer network.
    • Monitor company display tactics within dealer stores for pricing and monitor inventory management .
    • Ensure alignment of category promotion strategies with country company goals and strategies.
    • Develop and assist the marketing team in developing visually appealing displays for various product categories to improve sales and brand awareness in the trade.
    • Set goals and track program's progress, communicating with both internal and external working partners.
    • Look for customer trigger for market promotions and create new and exciting efforts relevant to business strategies.
    • Maintain strong engagement with a range of stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations.
    • Measure and report performance for all BTL, regional & country level trade marketing campaigns.

    Event Activation

    • Conceptualization of key focus events for the region which meets with the objectives of Motul's strategic house
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure optimum delivery of premium experiences to top distributors and KOLs
    • Devise attractive trade marketing programs to entice participation from top customers
    • Detailed planning and execution of events with clear definition of objectives, goals and KPIs
    • Close monitoring of all execution details pertaining to the event as well as evaluate success factors and performance

    Relevant Experience

    • Qualification: University degree or diploma in Marketing, Business Management or equivalent
    • Past work experience: Preferred 5-8 years of experience in trade marketing, category management, or related roles within the automotive or B2C industry
    • Strong understanding of trade dynamics, distribution channels, and retail marketing strategies.
    • Ability to travel as needed to engage with distributors, retailers, and attend industry events.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Innovative, adaptable, pro-active and skilled in problem solving.
    • Highly competent oral and written communication skills
    • Organizational skills, displaying highest level of integrity and maintaining confidentiality internally and externally.
