    Core Deliverables
    • To manage business development engagements in investment attraction for the digital economy via domestic investors (foreign & local) in Malaysia and create high value jobs. This will include lead generation, the closing of opportunities, and various other activities in relation to business development.
    • Activities include managing achievement in account and strategy for investment attraction and managing lead generation and opportunity pursuit of target business portfolio.
    • Managing priority projects, processes, and activities to support the development and growth of Domestic Digital Investment related companies.
    • To manage business development engagements in investment attraction for the digital economy via domestic investors (foreign & local) in Malaysia and create high-value jobs.
    • Manage all engagements with investors and stakeholders to ensure outcomes & deliverables are achieved based on domestic digital investment core roles.
    • Ensure all potential facilitation and solutions are aligned with the overall direction of MDEC.
    • Consolidate and ensure leads/opportunities are of quality and closure to be addressed effectively and efficiently.
    • Ensure the team is well-equipped with skills in positioning, critical thinking, business development, and relationship management.
    • Manage digital investment leads/ opportunities closure with state corridors, IPAs, and industry associations.
    • Manage major leads and opportunity closures when necessary.
    • Manage subject matter expertise around MDIS from a digital investment perspective.

    Qualifications
    • Minimum degree holder in IT, business, economics, marketing, management, sales, or related fields.
    • Between 8-10 years of working experience in business development. Experience with Emerging & Focus Tech would be an advantage.
    • Ability to conceptualize ideas, formulate plans and strategies, and implement the ideas to fulfill the desired outcome.
    • High logical thinking & problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent writing, communication, & presentation skills. Powerpoint skills are critical.
    • Process-oriented and guided by guidelines and procedures. The use of CRM tools like SalesForce, etc, would be an advantage.
    • Understanding good domain knowledge of the digital economy would be key.
