    Main purpose of position

    Currently we are looking for an Electrician in Melaka, Malaysia to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Electrician it's the responsibility to ensures the optimal functionality and maintenance of solar power equipment, contributing to the company's commitment to sustainable energy production. This role is crucial in maintaining uninterrupted power generation, ensuring the efficiency of solar panels, and minimizing downtime, thereby contributing directly to the company's revenue generation and sustainability goals.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Look after solar systems and power station equipment.
    • Check and fix the solar power systems and the medium and high voltage (MV/HV) equipment in power stations regularly.
    • Fix problems with the solar equipment and power station system fast.
    • Keep a record of how well the systems and equipment are working and what's been fixed.
    • Follow safety rules when working with MV/HV systems.
    • Work with suppliers to get good parts for the solar systems and power stations.
    • Make solar systems and power stations better.
    • Watch how well the solar systems and power station equipment are working to find ways to make them better.
    • Work with the technical team to make the solar systems and power stations more efficient.
    • Do checks and fixes to stop problems with solar systems and MV/HV equipment before they happen.
    • Use the latest technology to make our solar systems and power stations better.
    • Make plans for what to do if there's a problem with the power or an emergency at a power station.

    Qualifications And Competencies

    • Education: Preferably a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Having a vocational or technical school certificates combined with relevant work experience might be considered.
    • Certification: An electrician license BO 33kV or BO 11kV issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) in Malaysia is required.
    • Language: Fluent both in written and spoken Bahasa and English.
    • Experience: Several years of experience working with electrical systems is required, preferably in the solar power industry. Experience with MV/HV systems and substation equipment is particularly valuable.
    • Skills: Good problem-solving skills, ability to work as part of a team, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the capacity to handle the physical demands of the job.
