    1. Credit Counterparty Risk Reporting and Analytics

  • Ensure timely credit counterparty risk reports generation, consolidation and submission and compliance of all limits as per approved limits for HLBG, HLBB, HLISB, HLBVN and HLBCAM.
  • Ensure effective monitoring of utilisations of credit counterparty risk against the approved limits and early warnings must be in place.
  • Perform investigations on any triggers/significant/unusual changes in the risk limits reports. Take prompt action and escalate immediately on any non-adherence activities or non-compliance of limits.
  • Follow up and tracking unresolved issues until all excess are regularised.
  • Timely preparation and submission of management and board reporting on Credit Counterparty Risk profiles of Global Markets' activities as well as to investigate, analyse and highlight any unusual movements or abnormal changes in Global Markets' trading positions.
  • Perform credit counterparty & issuer risk stress testing (including reverse stress testing) on Treasury positions for submission to senior management and regulators on a regular or ad-hoc basis.
  • 2. MUREX & MLC System Monitoring, Maintenance and Enhancements

  • Maintain and monitor credit counterparty risk limits and controls in MUREX/MLC for all centres on MUREX platform, except for HLBVN and HLBCAM:
  • Ensure accurate updates on any new / increase / reduction / earmarking / suspension / cancellation of limits based on the approved papers.
  • Perform investigation on real-time MLC limit excesses and highlight any non-adherence or non- compliance after investigation.
  • Perform limit checking for other departments and resolve any discrepancies. Check and resolve any discrepancies of the credit counterparty risk limits and utilisations between MLC and the approval papers.
  • Ensure manual tracking on certain credit counterparty risk's limits utilisation, in cases where MLC is unable to track.
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve any MLC issues in relation to system bugs and discrepancies on system configurations and settings.
  • Perform static data maintenance in MLC as and when necessary
  • Ensure promptly maintenance of yearly calendar for the next year's common public holidays in MLC.
  • 3. MUREX & MLC System Monitoring, Maintenance and Enhancements

  • Continuous MUREX/MLC enhancements and upgrades for any new risk factors/ products/ business requirements and conduct UAT prior to production implementation as well as production implementation once UAT has been conducted satisfactorily.
  • Ensure on-going MLC & MUREX reports and processes enhancement including UAT and production implementation where necessary.
  • 4. Cross Functional Synergy

  • Ensure accurate risk limits and exposures distribution to business support units on a regular and ad- hoc basis.
  • Timely distribution of information/ data and other reports with accuracy for other sections/ departments/ branches/ subsidiaries as well as regulators (BNM) as per agreed timeline or ad-hoc basis.
  • Perform gaps and initiate recommendations on overseas branches or subsidiaries risk reporting and monitoring processes enhancements to ensure effectiveness and consistency with that of Head Office.
  • 5. Other Key Functional

  • Assist in formulating the credit counterparty risk limits and controls structure and risk quantification methodologies with Global Markets and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in all Counterparty Credit & Issuer Risk (CCIR) and other related credit risk policies review and submission to management committee meetings within agreed timeline.
  • Provide support and duty relief for team, section, departments, branches and subsidiaries.
  • To analyse gaps and initiate recommendations on on-going risk reporting and monitoring processes enhancements as well as undertake corrective actions promptly to reduce non-compliance incidents and severity.
  • To develop skills in monitoring and spotting anomalous trading patterns and/or activities.
  • To expand familiarization on MUREX and MLC system and develop more in-depth technical and credit risk analytical skills such as scenario analysis, stress testing, simulation.
  • Document and update changes in procedures and processes in the Global Markets Risk SOP when necessary. Ensure all the market risk documentation are up-to-date at all times.
