    JR43468 Senior Financial Analyst II (Costing/Forecasting)

    In this role as a Financial Analyst at Micron, you will be responsible for understanding the Micron Manufacturing Process, product level attribution, manufacturing cost inputs and how these all work together to build our standard product costs. As a key part of Standard Costing, this role participates in the timely setting of Standards across raw materials, work in process, and finished goods. The role will need to partner closely with the Global Cost Consolidations and Inventory Accounting teams based in the US, the Asia based site manufacturing finance teams, and site operations. Additional responsibilities include supporting product costing models and cost forecast models for projections and analysis.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships to collaborate with global Finance Teams
  • Familiarity with costing system Impact ECS, ERP system SAP, financial reporting tools such as TM1, Power BI, or Adaptive Insights and/or financial or business process modeling is a plus.
  • Dedicated person who is able to work independently and communicate with all relevant internal teams and external business partners at all times.
  • Strong analytical, comprehension and problem solving skills, as well as good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to conceptualize.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Develop subject matter expertise of Micron Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and product flow
  • Develop a strong understanding of data inputs in support of Standard Cost setting
  • Analyze / explain standard cost forecast changes
  • Aide in monthly and quarterly reviews of forecast plans and performance to actuals
  • Present data summaries and recommendations for improvements
  • Analyze / explain manufacturing variance on monthly basis
  • Mentor team members on systems, processes, and policies
  • Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Professional qualifications would be an added advantage
  • 5 years of experience in standard costing, absorbtion costing
