    Job Summary:

    The Senior Editorial Manager will handle MEDU Contents team management.

    Oversees all the aspects of content of MEDU. Supervises and allocates the work to Medical Writers and other contributors. Mentors and guide the Medical Writers on how to write for different audience and project types. Provides input on improving website structure and communication, marketing messaging, and platform strategy to increase engagement and hit target KPIs, from the editorial perspective.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Writing and Editorial Functions

    • Cover symposia and medical meetings, as necessary.
    • Conduct research on various therapeutic areas and prepares the content outline based on the project brief.
    • Decide and create CME modules, edit, and proofread text, and ensures adherence to MIMS Style Guide.
    • Provide comments and feedback to the Medical Writers.
    • Incorporate comments and revisions from clients and contributors (e.g. speakers), as necessary.
    • Collaborate with the assigned Graphic Artist regarding project design execution (data presentation).
    • Collaborate with the assigned Project Team (BM, Project Manager, Graphic Artist) and provide medical and scientific inputs.
    • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders (Regional Operations, Sales, Marketing, Society engagement, Platform, Publication, and IT teams).
    • Liaise with external stakeholders (Medical and Marketing) regarding assigned projects, as necessary.
    • Ensure that the editorial content adheres to the MIMS standard.
    • Ensure that the editorial content adheres to relevant guidelines.
    • Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of assigned projects in compliance with the agreed timelines.
    • Review and sign off once the project is fully approved.
    • Protect confidentiality of client information.

    Faculty Management

    • Brief the speakers on the details and content of the presentation.
    • Update the speakers on any developments in the program and content of other speaker's presentation, as necessary.
    • Review preliminary versions of presentations and advises on any changes in consultation with the client.
    • Apply the standard slide template to speaker's presentations, as necessary; top-edit and format slide presentations; and perform slide review sessions prior to filming

    Management of CME/CPD Programs

    • Review the CME/CPD application requirements prepared by the Medical Writers.
    • Ensure timely submission of the CME/CPD program application.
    • Monitor and update the CME/CPD program tracker.
    • Review and analyze the monthly CME/CPD program reports.

    Administrative Management

    • Attend project status meetings on a regular basis and reports the man-hours rendered for each assigned project
    • Collate the timesheets of the Medical Writers and submit to the ME on a weekly basis
    • Mentor the Medical Writers in developing specific skills and knowledge that will enhance the latter's professional growth
    • Attend other relevant internal team meetings

    People Management

    • Hire, lead, and train new and existing personnel.
    • Supervise subordinate activities to ensure that they perform their duties and responsibilities correctly.
    • Handle and resolves performance and behavioral issues.
    • Recommend and implement disciplinary actions to employees who violated company rules and regulations.
    • Evaluate job performance and assist in setting work priorities and goals using company performance evaluation form.
    • Provide ongoing feedback to the team to keep them aware of their performance.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Doctor of Medicine, preferably with clinical experience
    • 3+ years of CME and scientific medical writing/editing experience
    • Experience in managing writers/editors on a project setup
    • Experience in managing educational/CME activity in a digital platform
    • Medical Journalism background
    • Strong research skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional team skills
    • Innovative and resourceful with good organizational skills
    • Dynamic and able to work under pressure
