BASF (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1989, and operates main office in Bandar Utama and a manufacturing plant in Pasir Gudang in Johor, as well as an operational site in Kulim, Kedah. BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre Sdn Bhd began its operation in 2005. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the Shared Services Center provides functional services in the areas of finance, controlling, information services, human resources, real estate and facilities management, communications, environment, health & safety, procurement and import-export order management and information services to BASF Group companies in 20 markets across Asia Pacific. BASF Services (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, established in 1997, provides infrastructure and utilities support services to BASF sites in Malaysia. BASF holds 60% of its joint venture BASF PETRONAS Chemicals Sdn Bhd, which operates a state-of-the-art Verbund production site in the Gebeng Industrial Zone, Pahang, and 50% of Toray BASF PBT Resin Sdn Bhd.     Objectives of the Position

  • The objective of this position is to lead and support key business priorities, such as co-creation and development of our strategic Integrated Talent Management concept and processes, managing the PM Academy and PM Mentoring Program, and leading the implementation of BASF principles in PM to support building capability through CORE and other initiatives.
  • The incumbent will work with a global team, challenge established processes and approaches, and bring a creative and innovative mindset to make an impact at an OD level.
  • Main Tasks

    As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to partner with business leaders and HR colleagues in a global team to support key business priorities such as:

  • Preparing, analyzing and facilitating Global Talent Community Meetings to enable the development of our Talents.
  • Co-creation and development of our strategic Integrated Talent Management concept and processes. This includes applying continuous improvement principles and leveraging Talent analytics to identify the right measures and KPIs to achieve our strategic targets.
  • Redesigning, implementing, and maintaining our PM Academy .
  • Manage our PM Mentoring Program to enable the development of talents and networking within our organization by bringing Mentees and Mentors together for exchange.
  • Lead the implementation and evolution of the BASF principles in PM to support building capability through CORE and other initiatives which require OD specific action.
  • This position is for someone with a creative side , who is not afraid to bring new ideas and perspectives to the table. You can expect a variety of responsibilities that range from operational tasks to managing OD wide projects with a level of ambiguity and innovation to challenge processes and approaches.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional HR experience, preferably in talent management, learning and development, and business partnering in a multinational corporation.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to design and implement sustainable concepts and processes.
  • Proven ability to navigate core responsibilities and projects with a firm understanding of business context, organizational awareness, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • The candidate should possess effective communication skills in English.
