- Assume the role of Alternate Compliance Officer (ACO) for OABB Division and work together with OABB's Divisional Compliance Officer (DCO) to manage the:
- Dissemination, review, and consolidation of Shariah-related policies issued by BNM / Rulings issued by the Shariah Advisory Council (SAC) of BNM for 6 departments under the OABB DCO purview and the shared services departments of OBMB.
- Compliance Matrix Validation and request to amend / update the Regulatory Compliance Matrix for the departments under our purview.
- Coordination of the submission of the Regulatory Breach Reports for the departments under the DCO of OABB's purview.
- Periodic data quality reviews by:
- Coordinating the quarterly Data Quality Monitoring Report & Data Quality Monitoring Attestation (half yearly) for 6 departments under the OABB DCO purview and the shared services departments of OBMB.
- Conducting the data quality check over the samplings by OABB and the OBMB Divisions that provide shared services to OABB.
- Other compliance supporting roles as required include to promote regulatory awareness, disseminating regulatory updates, coordinating the submission of the Senior Management Reporting – Anti Money Laundering (AML) Training.
- Manage the Third-Party Services arrangement involving OABB.
- Conduct the periodic review of the existing Third-Party services arrangements, which includes the following processes:
- Collate relevant reports, deliverables, and documents submitted by all Shared Services departments / Outsourcing Services Provider (OSP) during the periodic review.
- Review of Outsourcing Services Agreement (OSA) / Service Level Agreement (SLA) of shared services / outsourcing arrangements between OABB and OBMB.
- Manage other Third-Party services' administrative requirements, including updating Outsourcing Register & Outsourcing Plan for OABB.
- Collate, coordinate & disseminate information, documents with regards to operational risk matters for BD.
- Manage BD's Business Continuity Management (BCM) including the BC Planner, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and others.
- Handle administration matters for the department, such as PC/laptop inventory, system access, etc.
- Possess good interpersonal abilities, including the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and collaborate effectively with them.
- Have good communication abilities and a willingness to improve them to effectively engage with various stakeholders and documentation, including legal agreements.
- Have a strong desire to learn and continuously enhance knowledge of Islamic banking and banking in general.
- Able to work independently with little supervision and thrive to meet datelines.
