    Description
    Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience in a manufacturing industry (heavy industry) with exposure to shipping, customs and logistics functions.
  • Knowledge of MITI, MIDA, Royal Customs and Dangerous Goods Cargo documentation.
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous, analytical, proactive, independent and resourceful.
  • Travelling is required.
  • Based in Simpang Lima, Parit Buntar, Perak.

    • Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for shipping/forwarding/custom/inland logistic/port arrangements (inbound and outbound) to ensure timely resolution of issues and delivery deadlines.
  • To liaise with shipping companies, transportation companies, port authority and internal departments to ensure efficiency of shipping and logistics functions.
  • To negotiate and bargain with suppliers to achieve optimum terms with highest benefits; to eliminate from the list any non-performing suppliers.
  • To review cost savings opportunities to meet and exceed the Management's operational cost objectives and KPIs.
  • To monitor shipping scheduling and collaborate with various operational departments at various manufacturing locations as well as external parties to ensure strategic delivery plans.
  • To stay updated with relevant legislations and communicate timely updates to the Management.
  • To establish document filing system for all concluded negotiations.
  • To ensure that overall purchasing activities are carried out professionally, ethically and in a timely manner.
