    Job Description

  • Coordinate and execute scheduling activities for assigned parts using ERP systems.
  • Act as a focal point and monitor assigned areas to ensure material delivery dates meet production needs
  • Identify and coordinate advance notice, input and resolution of material shortages/overages.
  • Analyze data and collaborate with internal customers to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies.
  • Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels, and reduce total costs in order to support lean manufacturing activities.
  • Anticipate potential problems and risks, and generates ideas, insight and solutions to resolve or "head off" potential problems, followed by decisive action to implement solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Monitor weekly shipments, track all required deliverables are on track to get to packaging as scheduled, mitigate issues to ensure production lines are achieving 100% on time delivery.
  • Review new sales orders on a daily basis and ensure all orders are entered and driving material accurately.
  • Identify critical material deliveries and ensure program requirements are prioritized though the supply chain as well as internal efforts (i.e.: Receiving, Inspection and Stockroom).
  • Provide training and assist in understanding MRP driven requirements.
  • Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP and Stockroom.
  • Administer and execute policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Hire, train, set responsibilities, establish standard work, and supervise supply chain personnel on your team and/or in the plant.
  • Write employee reviews and approve employee timesheets.
  • Monitor work flow and assignments of planners and Material Controllers.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Team in demand forecast.
  • Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in Production / Material Planning.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software/programs as opportunities or department needs arise. Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Knowledge of materials management theories, processes and practices
  • Exhibit & encourage sense of urgency.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and primary responsibilities.
