    Manager, Affinity in KL, Malaysia

    What the day will look like

    1. Assist Head of Department (HOD) in ensuring stringent and timely day-to-day servicing of clients/prospects are adhered to as per S.O.P.

    2. Assist to ensure adherence to Client Service Promise is followed through- assist to oversee timely issuance of renewal notices, receipts, policies and preparation for billing purposes.

    3. Assist team in responding to complicated enquires and complex communications with existing and new clients.

    4. Assist HOD in preparation of monthly reports, bordereaux, quarterly reviews, annual business planning process, renewal term negotiations, closing slips and other reports as required.

    5. Assist HOD in ensuring proper records of documents are kept in accordance to Filing Protocol such as clients' forms and payments, receipts, policies, endorsements, invoices from insurers, maintain proper documentation of all the claims cases and other tasks including e-filing of the same.

    6. Dynamically assist HOD in Marketing and Business Development initiatives for Affinity and MMI to increase clientele via active participation in MMI risk awareness talks, roadshows, events, symposiums, seminars and other projects as assigned.

    7. Assist HOD in engaging and working with colleagues across the business to support and drive a MMI & Affinity sales culture.

    8. Assist HOD on Affinity & MMI's claims management and the related activities efficiently with timely communications with insureds, insurers, lawyers or any other associated parties.

    9. Undertake ongoing negotiations on claims loadings imposed on the insureds by the insurer in a befitting manner.

    10. Support HOD in prompt day to day task of the claims management & advocacy. This includes preparation and management of timely claims boudreaux monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly.

    11. Ensure strict full compliance with company's internal policies and procedures as well as the local insurance regulatory requirements.

    12. Assist HOD in training team members.

    13. Assist HOD in performing other tasks and duties as assigned as when needed.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    Education, Qualifications & Experiences

  • Matured and at least minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the insurance industry or other industry managing claims and customer service interaction.
  • A graduate degree in any discipline. General insurance academic qualification and/or Bachelor in Law (LLB) would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Operationally efficient and sound.
  • Must pass the broker certification (BCCITB) upon joining.
  • Skills & Knowledge

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) applications.
  • Resourceful, proactive and able to work efficiently, independently and multi task.
