    Job Summary:

    As the Category Manager, you are to ensure all buying plans and activities are aligned and timely executed as per the Company's direction and OKRs. All products are well representing the concept and image of the Brands, either Sports Direct or USC.

    Responsibilities :

    Your responsibilities as the Category Manager will include but not limited to:

    • Sales performance tracking for selected activities assigned.
    • Develop and management range plan for assigned activities.
    • Develop product strategy with right product, price, cost to deliver both sales and margin.
    • Performs buying based on requirements and budget.
    • Monitor and ensure on-time delivery of stocks from suppliers.
    • Review sell through and inventory level for optimum inventory.
    • Prepare and analyse reports.
    • Improve/ elevate range to suit stores and e-commerce platform.
    • Generate and analyse sales, product, stocks level and supplier performance.
    • Code creation, system paster, issue PO & update Delivery Plan.
    • Checking and verify PO & PI from import supplier, RD feedback, CN request etc.
    • Sourcing for potential brand or supplier, evaluate and propose for the business.
    • Develop new product with supplier for exclusivity and margin optimization.
    • Maintain good relationship with supplier and business partners.
    • Market survey to get in touch with current market trend and develop for future.
    • Update range plan, product strategy and purchase after every seasonal buy.
    • To perform 3rd party and group brand seasonal or continuity buy.
    • Any other lawful assignments as and when assigned by the Head of HR & higher management.
    Qualifications

    Requirement:

    Candidate must have the following requirement:

    • Tertiary educations in Business Studies or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in retail buying/ merchandising, preferable from sports retail industry.
    • Strong in negotiation skills and supplier relationship management skills.
    • Good analytic capability and numbers sensitive.
    • Advance skill level in MS Excel.
    • Good time management skills and deadline sensitive.
    • A team player with proven leadership skills, positive, and enjoy fast-pace working environment
