    UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

    About the Department

    The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

    Job Responsibilities

    You will be involved extensively and be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle and support for all work transitioned from Group (which could be projects, quarterly change requests, L3 production fixes). This includes anchoring key engagements with various stakeholders, analysis and design to development, implementation, release management, testing and support for the domain area of Payments, Real-Time Data Services and Open Banking APIs (PRO).

    With a primary role in leading a L3 support team, you will mainly be responsible for day-to-day application stability & improvement activities around code fixes within the PRO domain area (with focus on the FINASTRA channel). You will also partner closely with the group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables of project delivery/change requests.

    Other responsibilities include:

  • Act as the focal point of contact for technical resolutions while managing the incident, problem, and knowledge management processes for the applications in scope.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party product vendors and/or integration partners for application fixes, delivery and deployment of code fixes to meet the required quality, stability, performance & capacity.
  • Provide timely updates and report to management.
  • Work with stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall book of work against the team's capacity.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives relating to methods, tools, people, architecture, project management and governance.
  • Provide technical leadership for the squad and enforce the Definition of Done
  • Enable the team and removing impediments and blockers for the squad
  • Provide insight, measurement, accountability and a positive working environment
  • Job Requirements

    The ideal candidate MUST HAVE at least 9 years of extensive experience in operating large-scale and complex mission-critical solutions:

  • Prior experience in a highly secured environment (eg: financial services) with good understanding on security and audits, encryption, 2FA or multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Experience in application development and operations of complex integrated application solutions (online and batch integrations): Mandatory: RHEL (or other equivalent Linux distributions) Mandatory: Java-based application development. Mandatory: Experience with database management systems (preferably Oracle) Mandatory: Shell Scripting Mandatory: Experience with Finastra product (used in corporate e-channel platform) Experience with Solaris operating system will be an added advantage. Experience in JBoss application server will be an added advantage. Experience in Apache web server will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in security management across the layers.
  • Experience in Agile and DevOps practices will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendor solutions will be an added advantage.
  • Domain knowledge in various payment products (validation, processing) and corresponding technical solutions will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with various stakeholders (both working level and management) across business and technical teams.
