    JR45568 Test Engineer, CAT Test NPP Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Maintain a common set of business processes for MFG NPP/NPI
  • Handle upstream results and drive continual improvements to process inputs and triggers.
  • Collaborate with corporate partner process owners to make MFG NPP/NPI best in class.
  • Authority for and leadership on business process improvement:
  • Promote worldwide alignment at all appropriate opportunities.
  • Apply metrics to supervise and improve MFG NPP/NPI.
  • Look for efficiency gains and improved benchmark performance through joint problem solving.
  • Mobilize network resources to generate best and integrated solutions
  • Lead focused improvement activities and projects.
  • Create vital systems.
  • Partner with all MFG sites to capture and fan out NPP/NPI BKMs
  • Represent MFG NPP/NPI in corporate forums and projects.
  • Act as primary point of contact for MFG NPP/NPI business process.
  • Travel to any Micron MFG sites as vital for face to face work related meetings and discussions.
  • Communication Expectations:
  • Communicate issues which impact NPP/NPI in a clear and timely manner and help aim to fix the issue where necessary.
  • Maintain a strong and open relationship with peer group and managers in other functional areas within BE Network and outside in areas such as MFG, BU, GSC, R and D, GQ and Product Engineering.
  • Demonstrate ability to give effective presentations to both small and large groups.
  • Periodically follow up with manager to ensure all type of goals are met and get assistance to remove obstacles.
  • Use all available resources to lead the successful completion of goals, including resources outside of the area.
  • Be prepared to give feedback and discuss action items during regular one-on-one meetings with your supervisor.
  • Additional roles as Site Process Steward (SPS): Site Process Steward serves as the single point of contact for process related activities and communications for a given location. Accountable for coordinating and hosting business process review and for demonstrating compliance for the applicable process. Responsibilities:
  • Is an active member in business process review and improvement discussions among the site and the System Level Process team.
  • Responsible for introducing standard methods and deploying standard tools to their site.
  • Accountable for organizing business process review and demonstrating compliance to standards.
  • Act as the point of contact for bi-directional process communication (between System Level Process Owner and local site).
  • Develop and maintain site specific process artifacts
  • Report process performance to site management.
  • Maintain local procedure, workflow, checklists as job aids for the performers.
  • Lead deployment of customer requirements as defined and approved by the process owner
  • Participate in the system level processes risk and opportunities assessment process.
  • Maintain site specific risk requiring treatment in the RBT App.
  • Work with the System Level Process owner to assess risk, and implement, lead and supervise treatments as required
  • EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety, Security)

  • Observe all established EHSS policies, requirements and procedures, including Micron Covid19 SOPs
  • Follow EHSS guidelines included in work instructions
  • Report conditions or behaviors that are contrary to EHSS policies or procedures
  • Cooperate with all audits
  • Job Requirement

    Possess Bachelor degree in Electronics or Microelectronics or Manufacturing.

    Working experience in semiconductor manufacturing with at least 1 year of experience in similar roles is preferred.
    Proven understanding on standard business PC applications such as Excel, Powerpoint, Project is strongly preferred.
    Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing is a must, with NPI phase gate reviews experience.
    Good understanding of component test equipment and process variations within back-end processes is required.
    Must be able to communicate well orally, and be able to write cohesive English language-based emails.
    Able to display a strong character with excellent presentation skills.
    Display willingness to work with multi-functional team across the globe and be flexible to accommodate and adapt to multifaceted schedule changes.
    Knowledge in SPC, Control Plan, FMEA, programming languages will be an added advantage.
