    About the role


    You will be responsible for managing people, production and processes. You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills as well the ability to deliver outstanding results without compromising safety and quality of people, plant and processes respectively.

    Key responsibilities

    • Drives superior plant performance as laid out by the Operations Management team including direct or indirect operations such as Safety, Quality, People Behavior, OEE, Yield, Sustainability, Sanitation and Operational Cost.
    • Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
    • Creates a culture of continuous improvement across all manufacturing lines by focusing on standards, processes, and behaviors, leading to rapid and complete adoption by employees.
    • Develop plans to achieve standard plant operations targets, taking charge of the co-ordination and control of wet mixing processes, spray drying processes, dry blending process, packing process, packaging and other related processes onsite to meet customer requirement - on time on target with the right quality and cost.
    • Cover responsibilities which encompass production control, stock control, quality control and the call out for replacement & maintenance of production equipment.
    • Visit the plant floor frequently to coordinate and monitor production, direct the resolution of production delays, and oversee other production related issues.
    • Partners with functional Managers from Quality Assurance (QA), Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Procurement, Human Resources, People Services, Finance and Supply Chain etc., to implement & execute production plan and implement corporate goals and policies.
    • Ensure data entered is accurate and reflects plant performance. Any comments and / or findings are to be communicated to Operations Manager/ Director immediately for further actions.
    • Works with Operations Manager/ Director to develop capital improvement projects to improve Safety First, Quality Always factory operations; increase efficiency, throughput, reduce cost and increase profitability of plant.
    • Champion all short-term projects to meet operational excellence and to meet internal or external customer expectations. This shall include performing any task assigned by the management from time to time.
    • Continuously place importance in the organizational goals and visions in relation to:
    • Plant Inventory Management (Raw Material, Finish Goods, Rework materials, Packaging)
    • Operational Excellence (Quality, Downtime, Wastage, Yield, Customer Complaints)
    • On-time Paperwork Submission and Document Control
    • Process Performance (CIP, GMP, etc)
    • Audits (Quality, Safety, Environment, GMP etc.)
    • Compliance to all policies, regulations, and law set forth by federal & state, HACCP, KERRY, SEDEX, Customer Audits and necessary guidelines
    • Management of Plant Personnel and cultivate leadership values

    Qualifications and skills

    • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Food Science / Microbiology.
    • Minimum 10 years' related manufacturing experience – must have some background in Food or Pharma.
    • At least 3 years' experience in a managerial role – Food related Managerial is most desirable.
    • Technical knowledge in Food Hygiene standards, HACCP and other food safety requirement.
    • Proven experience in analyzing and optimizing operations and processes, formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies, procedures and key metrics.
    • Experience in food manufacturing industry with knowledge and experience in spray drying is a distinct advantage.
