    Description

    Role Purpose:

  • Achieve assigned sales targets within the designated region, fostering its development to maximize P+F objectives and ensure customer satisfaction with a focus on quality
  • Understand, promote, and design product/system solutions using P+F technologies and third party products when necessary
  • Utilize expertise in integrating devices into higher-level automation systems (PLC or PC) to create valuable solutions, support customers, and enhance opportunities
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the local sales team's knowledge, taking charge of or assisting in complex product/solution projects
  • Contribute to the development, marketing, and promotion of customized product/system solutions in collaboration with relevant P+F personnel
  • Major Accountabilities:

  • Generate new sales leads and cultivate relationships with prospective customers in Northern region in Malaysia
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing customers, focusing on creating new value.
  • Follow up promptly on customer inquiries and provide accurate quotations
  • Conduct training sessions and offer application support for Factory Automation Products
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations as needed for customers
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and customers to develop applications, maximizing sales opportunities
  • Take ownership of customer opportunities, consulting to identify and propose effective solutions
  • Update and maintain the company CRM system with accurate account details, visit reports, appointments, and opportunity management
  • Work closely with internal Customer Support to ensure seamless order fulfillment and processing
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to contribute to seminars and exhibitions as required
  • Monitor competitors' activities and assist in developing counter-competitive strategies
  • Mentor and guide other team members as required
  • Role Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) and ideally fluent in one of the local dialects (Mandarin/ Hokkien)
  • Experience/ exposure to industrial sensor products would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated success in automation projects or sales is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with PLC-based automation platforms (e.g. Siemens PLC) and basic programming is an added advantage
  • Appreciation for PC-based control and understanding of intermediate PLC programming is highly regarded
  • Experience in using basic CAD for layout and electrical drawing would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with good problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to thrive both in a team environment and as an independent contributor
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel for customer visits
