    You will perform detailed finance work, transactions and data structuring under the guidance of the Finance Manager. You will collect data, be responsible for maintaining information integrity, monitor reconciliations and conduct basic checks and controls.

    How you will contribute

    You will:

  • Execute aspects of finance planning and performance management process and related financial decisions potentially including Annual Contract planning/forecasting, target development, financial performance reporting/analysis, financial modeling and decision support for a focused scope within a region, business unit, country, Supply Chain, Mondelēz International Business Services or Corporate Finance team. You will also execute data collection and data integrity checks
  • Contribute to a strong controls and compliance environment in area of scope and ensure full compliance with our policies
  • Execute ad hoc analyses and projects as requested by the Senior Finance Manager (or Director)
  • Support projects to improve efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and embrace a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Contribute to a high-performing Finance team. You will also invest in personal development and the development of your Finance peers.
  • Manage and support monthly close process together with Genpact
  • Complete monthly closing for the Plant including proposing and preparing Journal Entries for Manager's approval as well as review of FICOPA reconciliations
  • Take measures to ensure completeness of monthly P&L reported
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations via Blackline
  • Prepare allocation of variances for purposes of intercompany billing
  • Prepare Actuals vs Plan/Prior Year reporting with variance commentary for Site Reporting and submission to the Region for consolidation
  • Review CWIP lines and open Purchase Orders, working with respective project lead to ensure timely and proper capitalisation in a manner compliant with policies
  • Review depreciation numbers for reasonableness and understand fluctuations
  • Review/Approve new product/material or updates to Bill of Material for Costing purposes
  • Support the Manager in the various forecast processes
  • Support preparation of schedules and information requested by external auditors and tax agents.

    Education / Certifications:

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance or Professionally qualified (eg: ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
  • Job specific requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of accounting and analyst experience
  • Must willing to be based in Shah Alam Plant
  • SAP experience (modules: PP/Costing, COPA and FI)
  • Excel (eg: formulas like lookups, sumif, average, min, max, concatenate; pivot tables; charts)
  • Sound grasp of accounting principles and standards
  • Experience in performing closing activities, analysis and business partnering
  • Learns fast, independent, resourceful, proactive, analytical, adaptable, commercially savvy, attention to detail and drive
  • Able to work with cross functional colleagues (Accounting and External Reporting team, Regional FP&A teams, outsourcing partners, commercial colleagues) whether face to face or virtually via Microsoft Teams, in and out of Malaysia
  • Demonstrated that you are willing and able to overcome challanges, adapt to/manage change and be a part of the solution
  • Finance experience in manufacturing and Sales and Service Tax (SST) is an advantage
