    A Snapshot of Your Day

    As a senior tax specialist in Asia Pacific Tax Services Centre (ATC) in Malaysia, you will be assigned with a portfolio of Siemens Energy's entities within Asia Pacific region where you will be responsible for its international and local tax compliance and reporting. In the course of performing your duties, you will liaise with colleagues from various functions ( accounting & controlling team, business units finance personnel, Siemens Energy Group Tax Community), external tax consultants and local tax authorities.

    How You'll Make an Impact


    •Your main responsibility includes the following:

    ØPrepare transfer pricing documentation for a given portfolio of Siemens Energy's entities within Asia Pacific Region (6-10 entities).This includes extraction of financial data from ERP system, liaising with internal stakeholders for the business information, liaising with external tax consultant if local benchmarking is required, etc. To support the Country Tax Head in the event of transfer pricing audit by tax authorities.

    ØSupport the Country Tax Head in introducing measures and controls for transfer pricing risk management purpose.

    ØHandle the day-to-day tax compliance and tax reporting matters for the assigned entities (1-2 entities) which includes the following:

    oMonthly tax accounting (corporate income tax & deferred tax provision)

    oCorporate income tax computation and return

    oWithholding tax filing

    oIndirect tax return ( VAT, GST, etc)

    oAttend to any enquiries and requests from tax authorities

    oSupport on adhoc tax projects when required ( new tax implementation, changes in tax rules, etc)

    oProvides simple tax and customs advisory to internal stakeholders


    •From time to time, you will also extend your support to any regional tax project when required.

    What You Bring


    •A recognized Degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Tax


    •Minimum 8 years working experience in MNCs or Big4/mid-size accounting firm


    •Working experience in preparation of transfer pricing documentation and direct tax compliance is mandatory.


    •Preferably experience working in SAP system.


    •Good English language proficiency, both verbal and written


    •Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.


    •Strong numerical and data analytical skills with high level of accuracy


    •Ability to work to multiple deadlines and complete task efficiently and accurately.


    •Ability to work independently on the given portfolio in a supportive environment.
