    Job Summary:

    Account Assistant responsible for providing analytical skills to track the companies cost reduction projects and programs, provide financial reporting, analysis and forecasting of manufacturing and operating costs. The role also has a strong emphasis on financial and management cost accounting, consist of month end closing activities, and providing financial analysis to management.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Direct responsibility for Company's cost accounting and related month end close processes;
    • Provide timely preparation, interpretation, and analysis of product costs, manufacturing variances & other cost of goods sold inclusive of labor and overhead rate calculations analysis, standard cost updates, coordination of physical inventories and cycle counts, inventory and intercompany reconciliations and the auditing inventory and manufacturing controls
    • Work with the Company's auditors during annual audit and preparation of financial statement
    • Work with the company's Tax agent in completing annual tax return
    • Utilize the company's ERP/Accounting System software to analyze cost of goods sold;
    • Develop methods to streamline month/quarter end close processes in the cost accounting area;
    • Provide analysis and leadership in tracking Company's cost reduction programs.
    • Assist teams to improve and streamline Operations' cost activities.
    • Provide analysis and leadership in tracking Company's cost reduction programs.
    • Participate in Quarterly/Annual forecast and budgeting
    • Provide backup support for all cost accounting functions.
    • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned or requested;

    Minimum Qualifications

    Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

    • At least three years of Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing environment with relevant accounting qualification
    • Ability to be a team member and effectively interface with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Research & Development.
    • Must be a self-starter, a 'hands-on' individual who enjoys a challenge and is dedicated to getting the job done with minimal support and direction.
    • Solid Excel skills are required as well as a high proficiency in standard job costing and variance analysis.
    • Excellent attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects;

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with intercompany profit and inventory management
    • Experience in medical product manufacturing environment
    • Fluent in written and spoken English

    Education

    Bachelor's degree in Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent training and experience) is required. ACCA or CPA is preferred

    Physical requirements/Work Environment

    This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.

    The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.
